Wow!!! Thought you gave up (or emigrated to Portugal)? Just saw a YouTube of (some) of the oldest living actors in Hollywood and your dad was in it. I can't believe there are three original Star Trek cast members, two from Mission Impossible, two from Get Smart and (of course) two from West Side Story, including your dad. Also, William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett, from St. Elsewhere. But, I'm glad your back and looking forward to reading you.
I loved Bad Bunny. Best Super Bowl halftime ever. I didn’t need to know Spanish in order to understand and revel in his message of joy, love, and inclusion. I’m now a big fan.
Woof. Intentional Silence. What a concept. I worry for america because your civil war is being preformed on a global scale. Intentional silence as a concept only the privileged can preform. I always enjoy your balance of art and politics but the core issue isn't about you listening, it's about those of us with privileges amplifying those who refuse to stay silent. Time to come back to the page as a reader. Like and subscribe to some nobodies who are on the front line. Take an actual step back and realize the civil war has already started in the hearts and minds. We need the smart americans to YELL and scream, and smash more white people things. Standing tall on a cruise ship while watching mainstream america yell at the facists in power that they are the special interest group is boss. You are the best. Agree with this comment. And it's time to create the new ways, the new systems, the new relationships with each other and with Earth and All Species. One of my mentors way back (my work was Gaian Economics - creating an economy for a living Earth, beginning in the 1980s, so I'm old), said we needed to create the lifeboats for when the economy or Earth's ecosystems collapsed. He didn't know which would happen first. My response was "both". These lifeboats included legal structures for alternative ways of doing business, holding land, growing food (like CSAs that no one had heard about then but now virtually everyone knows about Community Supported Agriculture), regional energy production, and on and on. There is so much work to be done. There is a role for everyone, whether we are screaming on the street, writing and sharing, speaking out in various ways, taking care of our own selves and our families/loved ones, learning how to be calm and grounded in the midst of chaos and fear. A big, important skill that one! Because our energy influences all those around us. We need all of us! All of our skills, our hearts, our passions . . .
