Thank you for this. I’ve been wondering how to support those on strike and hoping for a real breakdown of what they do want, because I haven’t believed the stuff I’d been seeing from the studios.
The rise of AI is a threat to many professions. I hope the strike is effective to push back on that. Some of this is hard to relate to with my husband in the construction business. The most unsafe thing on the set that came to mind was a lack of ethnic hair and make up cosmetologist?!? Seems like an easy fix and the disingenuous outrage in this article made me roll my eyes a bit as you clamor for virtue signaling. We also are so DISGUSTED by the output that comes out of Hollywood. All demonic stories and woke agendas that distract from the stories and the lack of humor because...political correctness. Hollywood needs to clean up its act! In the meantime we stop using Netflix and a few other steaming options that are plagued with nonsense and found some wholesome options that we can actually relate to.
