A dear friend and co-moderator for Bibliography and Therapeutic Writing has an incredible serialized memoir she is publishing on Substack about art therapy/yoga/meditation in women's prison. It is incredible and I think you'd enjoy it - https://meditationsinblue.substack.com/
On the advice of my Emotional Support Canadian, I have been reading the novels of Christopher Moore. My ESC says Moore's writing is what mine would be if I had talent. Moore is the reason I couldn't get published, because he occupies my niche. But if he were to die in a tragic accident, perhaps success would finally be mine. So I looked up his bio, keeping my eyes peeled for hobbies like rock climbing, bungee jumping and illegal street racing. Having failed to find anything other than the sort of sedate life that will lead him to die of a heart attack in forty years, I sent my cousin's rock climbing gear to him in an effort to goad him along. She hasn't needed it since the accident. In the meantime, I have read his books about 1940's San Francisco, whales, vampires and Jesus. They are good.
I mentioned this in Good Riddance, but I just finished reading Disney High, about the rise of Disney Channel in the 2000s. It filled me with a rush of nostalgia and I loved reading all the bts about Lizzie McGuire and High School Musical, but it also takes a serious look at everything these child stars endured from being financially exploited by Disney to sexualized by mainstream media.
Film wise: Friendship is so hilarious while being so awkward, I loved it, even if I spent much of the time cringing.
And if you skip the first hour, Mission: Impossible is great. The final stunt is just, how? Why? Who would do that? And as someone with a fear of water, the water stunt gave me so much anxiety.
I really love the variety of types of links here, videos, podcasts, articles. Something for everyone's type of learning on such a great variety of important topics! You always rock Amber Tamblyn!!
Can you all be honest? This isn't just about ICE; it's about the belief that this nation has no right to a border. This is especially true when leftist groups stand in solidarity with the Reconquista movements:
La Voz de Aztlán
MEChA
NCLR
LULAC
Brown Berets
Unión del Barrio
Most modern progressives conveniently have no clue about El Plan Espiritual de Aztlán or the Plan de San Diego. How many of you have actually spoken with the major figures of these organizations (as some of us have) who believe in a modern, combined interpretation of these plans? Especially regarding the purging of the 'colonizer' individuals?
All Mexican nationalist organizations are actively aligned with these goals. How many of you have been paying attention to what Sheinbaum has been saying recently that reflects this mindset also? How many of you are engaging with current Mexican leftist-populist leaders instead of just consuming corporate media and the falsehoods of the Democratic Party? You all are being hoodwinked.

Thank you Amber, and if I were you, I would block the following commentator, they are hateful.
